Through collaborations with top academic institutions such as Health Services Academy (HSA), SZABIST University, Rawalpindi Medical University, and Universiti Malaya, TSA has introduced the science of scaling-up into postgraduate and undergraduate public health education. These efforts aim to institutionalize the ExpandNet/WHO Nine-Step Framework across curricula and research in Pakistan and the Asia-Pacific region.
TSA conducted orientation workshops for WHO Country Office, PSI, and grantees of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on the ExpandNet/WHO Scaling-Up Framework. These sessions enhanced partner readiness to apply scale-up thinking in reproductive health and development programming.
TSA has been instrumental in developing Pakistan’s FP2030 Country Action Plan and facilitating regional training workshops. TSA also led technical sessions in Manila, contributing to Asia-Pacific scale-up dialogues on postpartum family planning.
TSA, as an affiliate of ExpandNet, led technical assistance for developing and implementing PPFP and PAFP provincial action plans across Pakistan. The project, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Health Services and Pathfinder, was a landmark in standardizing tools, governance, QA frameworks, and data use.
TSA created comprehensive resources including QA frameworks, supervision guidelines, and toolkits in Urdu and English to ensure consistent quality in scaling FP services. These were formally endorsed by provincial governments and followed by Training of Master Trainers across districts.
TSA has represented Pakistan and ExpandNet’s work at global events like the IBP Partners Meeting and the World Health Innovation Forum. TSA also contributed to the WHO Global Strategy for Scaling-Up Post-Pregnancy FP, including leading the rewrite of key chapters and annexes.
The Scaling-up Accelerators (TSA) is a Private Limited company, registered under the SECP Companies Act, 2017 in Pakistan.
