TSA and Development Partners

TSA’s Building Blocks: Collaboration with Development Partners

The Scaling-Up Accelerators (TSA), in collaboration with ExpandNet and WHO, has established a robust partnership framework to promote the Science of Scaling-Up among key development organizations. Through a series of strategic workshops and collaborative engagements, TSA has empowered organizations with the tools, frameworks, and knowledge needed to scale impactful health interventions sustainably.

Orientation of Local Organizations (2018)

In May 2018, TSA, in partnership with WHO and ExpandNet, conducted an orientation workshop in Islamabad. This event aimed to introduce local, national, and international organizations to the WHO/ExpandNet Scaling-Up Framework and equip them with strategies to pilot scalable health interventions.

Key Highlights:

Participants: 20 participants from 13 organizations, including leading NGOs in health and development.

Focus Areas: Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH), Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI), and Family Planning (FP).

Objective: Build capacity for scaling sustainable interventions using resource materials developed by WHO/ExpandNet.

Dr. Jamal Nasher, WHO representative, praised the initiative and recommended continued efforts to integrate scaling methodologies into public health projects.

Orientation for BMGF Grantees (2023)

Building on the success of the 2018 workshop, TSA organized a specialized orientation for Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) grantees in September 2023. This session focused on aligning grantee projects with systematic scaling practices.

Participants Included:

  • Pathfinder International, IPAS, Population Council, Jhpiego, Green Star Social Marketing, Think well Global, Riz Consulting, Forum for Women Development and Research, and Health Services Academy (as observers).

Workshop Focus Areas:
